One of our favorite trails on the trip, this wooded trail gained about 400 feet elevation over the 2.5 miles. A large two and a half foot long black snake crossed the path before us. The trail took us past groves of beech trees, a natural stone bridge, Cob Cave and Eden Falls, a series of four waterfalls plummeting 170 feet down limestone bluffs. We saw several wild turkeys just off the trail. Clark Creek, which ran parallel to the trail, completely vanished as the water went underground through holes eroded in the limestone bed. Much of the year Clark Creek flows underground.
