This 2.6-mile trail led us around Horse Run Lake, past Sand Hollow Campground and through hickory and oak forests. Occasionally, we would get great views of the lake through the trees. Even in the woods it was a hot, humid hike with lots of gnats pestering us on the up and down trail.
