Xenia Station is a great place to start a bike ride. It is a replica 1880’s brick railroad station with restrooms, water fountains, parking lot and play area. It is the hub of five major bike trails & part of 340 miles of trails in the Miami Valley. We left Xenia Station and bicycled the Jamestown Connector Bike Trail past Jamestown to the county line and back, a total of 31 miles. The trail is tree covered in some places which helped on this hot day. The trail took us past the Greene County airpark & skydiving and farmland. We saw deer, many ground squirrels and kept searching the trees for an eagles nest that bikers told us about. At a rest area we saw dozens of Monarch butterflies on beautiful flowers.
