Rosie didn’t think much of this but I liked it because it reminded me of the Sphinx, of the Mummy head coming out of the sand in “The Mummy” movie and sort of like Chief Crazy Horses’ profile that we viewed in South Dakota. This sculpture made out of limestone slabs mortared together to form a 12 foot high head was made in 1990 by a Boston sculptor depicting the Great Wyandot Indian Chief. Historians believe his last hunting camp was at this site before he was killed in 1810. The Chief is buried a few miles down the road just off Riverside Drive.
