WORLDS LARGEST TRUCK STOP Walcott, Iowa

Expedition Team: Dave Miller, Matt Miller

Date: January 13, 2012

The Iowa 80 Truck Stop was ginormous. It began in 1964 as a Standard Oil gas station and they kept expanding into the 1980’s. The first thing we noticed was the 1918 Oldsmobile hoisted above the cashier island. After gassing up we explored inside where they had souvenirs, food opportunities, showers and displays. We crossed the street to the famous Grandma’s Kitchen restaurant, home to the award winning #1 best pork tenderloin sandwich in Iowa which Matt and I both enjoyed.
