MOUNT ST. HELENS NATIONAL VOLCANIC MONUMENT Silver Lake, Washington

Expedition Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller

Date: July 5, 2022

Still an active stratovolcano, we stopped by the National Park Service Visitor Center. The center gave us views of the western slope of Mount St. Helens and exhibits tell of the devastating 1980 eruption. I found some bigfoot books and a thrilling book of locals who died or survived the volcano.  The first photo is the mountain before the eruption. The second photo is the north face of the mountain after the eruption. The third photo is the western side of the mountain today as I stood looking at it.
