It was 101 degrees outside, but Rosie was still impressed with this roadside attraction. This 80-foot-tall easel has resting on it is a 32-foot by 24-foot representation of one of Van Gogh’s sunflower paintings called “Three Flowers on a Vase”. Painted in 2001, it is quite an attraction. Why, because the state flower of Kansas is the sunflower, and the city of Goodland is the center of the local sunflower industry. The easel is made of steel and weighs 45,000 pounds.
