IDAHO PANHANDLE NATIONAL FORESTS Idaho

Expedition Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller

Date: June 25, 2022

The Idaho Panhandle National Forest is a jointly administered set of three national forests in Idaho. The area just west and south of Wallace, Idaho and east of Coeur d’Alene provided us incredible panoramic views. We viewed hundreds of thousands of Ponderosa pine, red cedar and Douglas fir trees along the Bitterroot Range, a subrange of the Rocky Mountains. Hiking a short trail, we tried to spot deer, moose, black bears, eagles, and chipmunks.
