Heading to watch son Matt’s college football game at the South Dakota Dome, we stopped at this small town of 2,500. We toured the Visitor Center, Presidential Library and Museum, birthplace cottage, blacksmith shop, gravesite and other exhibits of the 31st President of the United States who served from 1929 to 1933. Back in Hoovers boyhood days this farming town had only 350 people. Rosie, working as an assistant schoolteacher back home, enjoyed the small one room schoolhouse where Hoover attended school.
