Hiking Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller
Date: October 7, 2023
We began this 2.5-mile trail hiking over a bridge into a forest and ascended a ravine with a stream to our right. A half mile later we came to the Natural Bathtub, a circular hole (photo #2) about three feet deep below a small waterfall in the stream. A pioneer family, the Haggard’s, used this natural hole as their bathtub. Farther along the trail we came upon large stones that were remains of the Haggards house. Across the trail 50 yards beyond was the Haggard Family cemetery where the pioneer family was buried. About fifteen old tombstones were in the cemetery. The trail circles around the ridge above the ravine and descended back towards the trailhead.
