THE TOWN OF CHRISTMAS Christmas, Florida

Expedition Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller

Date: December 4, 2023

This Roadside Attraction was a Big Bust! After hiking all day at Merrit Island, I told Rosie we would enjoy the Christmas lights, shops, and a good restaurant at this Christmas themed hamlet. Not. There was nothing there. Other than the post office where you could drop off mail to be stamped from Christmas and a special mail slot for Santa, the sparse population only had a tall, year-round Christmas tree and the worst nativity scene ever. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph were there but only one wise man instead of three and he was disproportionately smaller than baby Jesus. Yep, that was it. We did see Christmas Cemetery and Fort Christmas but didn’t stay to tour it. We left town hungry and disappointed.
