Another major bridge and dam on our 32-day trip. The bridge crossing Glen Canyon is 700 feet above the Colorado River and is the Second Highest Steel Arch Bridge in the World! The bridge opened in February 1959. Prior to that the road distance from one side of the canyon to the other was 197 miles.
