This famous food roadside attraction was big, just like the state. It is home to the world famous 72oz Steak Challenge where contestants must eat the steak, roll, potato, salad and shrimp cocktail within one hour or lose and pay $72 dollars. So far only 11% of the challengers have succeeded, 10,303 out of 91,000 who have tried with the record time for eating it: 6 minutes and 28 seconds. This restaurant on Route 66 opened in 1960. As mostly a vegetarian eater, I went off the grid and ate a 10-ounce steak, potatoes, salad plus had a Texan beer with Justin. I was stuffed. Holly ate a Texas pickle. Afterwards, Rosie sat with an old cowboy who had identical hair like hers. We had a great time, delicious food, live music, western atmosphere and Justin whipped me mercilessly at the western shooting range booth.
