We stopped at the giant Route 66 Ozark Trail Obelisk, a 66-foot-high monument which stands as a tribute to the Trail to bring farmers goods to market and tourist dollars to destinations. Basically, a thank you to the old Ozark Trail which was incorporated into Route 66 in 1926. Each side of the obelisk had mileage distances from the obelisk to different cities in America.
