On the way to hike Palo Duro Canyon we passed by this turbine. The turbine was built in 2018 and the height of the tip of one of its three blades sits 653 feet above the desert (most wind turbines are less than 500 feet). The height of the hub is 426 feet. I was told 80 cement mixer loads were needed just to anchor the base.
