There were over 3,000 pig cutouts (known as the Pig Hill of Fame) on the hillside behind Poole’s Bar-B-Q, a famous north Georgia Roadside Attraction. From the air, they make the shape of a huge pig. Oscar & Edna Poole started this business in 1989 out of a roadside shack. When the shack burned down, the larger restaurant building was built. I bought a pig for $10 so Rosie & my name will soon be one of the pigs on the hillside. After taking photos outside and talking to the manager, we went inside and ate off the grid as Rosie ordered a barbeque turkey, with BBQ sauce and cornbread. I enjoyed a turkey Ruben and Brunswick stew. We met 92-year-old Edna Poole in the restaurant and her, and Rosie struck up an instant friendship.
