Rosie has hiked the loop before, but this was my first time here on this windy 77-degree afternoon. I had previously hiked the other section of the trail, but this part emerged from the woods and was out in the open with hay growing in the large field with a small chapel built in the center. As I hiked the perimeter trail, I passed a cross and bench for hikers to sit, pray and reflect. Later, I came to the Glacier Overlook, with a beautiful view of the ridge and valley below that was once filled with a glacier. Near the end of the loop was Tear Drop Pond with wildflowers growing around one side and a uniquely carved bench nearby.
