We started just south of Franklin at the Miami Trailhead Parking Lot. I was excited to finally bike this southern section, so excited that I forgot my bike helmet. The Great Maimi River was in view to our right (west) heading south for just about the entire time. Biking past Middletown Airport, we saw a half dozen skydivers descending from the sky above to land at the airport. Along the river we saw lots of turtles and blue herons. At Middletown they had a nice, small building called the River Center that had restrooms adjacent to the Armco outdoor amphitheater (Photo#3). The bikeway ended at its southern terminus at mile 77 at Trenton although about six miles south there is a 12-mile section for Hamilton & Fairfield which we biked another time. We had biked 8.9 miles when the bike path ended so we turned around and headed back north. It was a fun 19 bike ride.
