HAUNTED LOCK & KEY CAFÉ Georgetown, Kentucky

Investigation Date: June 3, 2014

Investigation Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller

We stumbled upon this haunted building by mistake. The former National Bank Building has been converted and is now called the Lock & Key Café. You can sit and eat in the former bank lobby or even eat in the large vault. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great.

In the men’s bathroom was a bullet hole in the wall with a plaque stating “Bullet hole from suicide of George T. Hambrick Bank President 1929”. It was above and to the right of the toilet.  So I took a seat for five minutes, took photos and a few EVP’s, wiped and left. I did not get any evidence but felt better after I dropped the kids off at the pool (this is an inside joke). Later research revealed a newspaper article stating Mr. Hambrick was in failing health which made him do what he did.  Several local Kentucky ghost hunting clubs have investigated here and have EVP’s of a man’s voice and the sound of footsteps.
