Yes, there is a high school called the Pocahontas Indians located in south central Illinois. At the gas station we took photos of two giant roosters and endured the 101-degree temperature. Just east of there we stopped at Blue Springs Restaurant and ate giant eight-inch-tall slices of homemade pie. That evening we camped at the KOA Campground on Historic Route 66 just west of St. Louis where it was still a wonderful 102 degrees.
