Hiking Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller
Date: June 24, 2022
The National Forest was located next to Glacier National Park to the south. We hiked the 1.3-mile deserted trail which was very creepy. The trail was not too well maintained and overgrown in several places. The trail circled the picturesque lake and was nestled in a pine tree forest with lots of bear grass growing. Rosie was on the constant lookout for bears. We saw a very large bullfrog and a deer. At the National Forest Ranger Station, Rosie got cozy with a stuffed bear. Afterwards, we gassed up at Hungry Horse where gas was up to $5.02 per gallon.
