The train complex had over 70 buildings and structures dating back to 1906 including four original steam locomotives and 60 passenger cars and freight cars dating back to 1872. We saw the “Ghost Train of Old Ely”, a steam powered passenger train take off. You could pay a fee and take the throttle and operate a train alongside the engineer or sleep in a caboose overnight. This was one cool place if you like train history. Nearby at our KOA campground, a rainbow appeared between two Indian teepees adding to the old west theme.
