HIKING OLD ROAD LOOP TRAIL Beavercreek, Ohio

Hiking Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller

Date: December 26, 2023

At the Narrows (a Greene County Park), we ascended this .5-mile trail to a section that contained wildflowers, a bee apiary and a wood structure containing a small owl, a beautiful blue adult owl, a hawk, and a turkey buzzard. There was a patch of milkweed to attract butterflies. The trail joined the Vista Loop, another trail we had never hiked before. It led us .8 miles across the wooded hilltop before descending an incredibly long set of stairs to the River Loop Trail. We then hiked 1.5 miles on this trail which paralleled the Little Miami Scenic River.
