This was a fun solo trek. Beginning at the log house, the PWL Trail went for 1.2 miles past many rock formations before branching off at Old Channel Loop Trail. The OCL Trail took me through a small gorge with twenty-foot rock formations on each side until coming to a bridge over Massie Creek. The bridge was downriver from the waterfall through a rock gorge. On the other side of the creek was the Gorge Trail but I elected to stay and continue on this side of the river. The .7-mile OCL Trail took me back into the woods on a craving trail until it connected back with the other half of the PWL Trail.
