This 2024 movie is about the life of Shirley Chisolm, the first black woman to be elected to the U.S. Congress and the first black woman to run for President of the USA (in 1972). Regina King stars as Shirley and some movie scenes were shot at the Red Horse Inn, a run-down motel in Moraine, to simulate late 1960 scenes.
