Hiking Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller, Holly Eller, Justin Eller

It was Holly’s 31st birthday and she wanted to hike after church, so she selected this trail on the south side of Twin Creek. This was my first time on this 2.2-mile trail, and it was very diverse. The trail had a couple of challenging hills and flat areas through both a forest and open prairie. We passed an old well and once we hiked parallel to Twin Creek which was flowing rapidly and was high due to recent rains. The highlight was viewing a 2,000-year-old Hopewell Earthwork called Carlisle Fort (Photo #1), two feet high earthen walls along the edge of a ravine.
