Biking Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller

From the Colorado River we biked down Barton Creek where the trail dead ended at Barton Springs and the Barton Springs Municipal Pool, a spring fed cool water pool where people swam or were paddleboarding. We became lost and retraced the bike trail, crossing a bridge over the creek and eventually coming to Crenshaw Bridge crossing the Colorado River. We biked east on the Crenshaw Pedestrian Trail which finally connected back with the Butler Bike Trail. This added about 8 more miles to the ten miles that we already biked. The bike trail took us past the downtown Austin skyscrapers and hotels on the north side of the river and eventually back to our truck. We saw lots of wildflower and cactus flowerbeds and turtles along the bike trail.
After biking we drove back to Leander and ate a delicious dinner at La Tapatia Mexican Restaurant. I ordered a Tex-Mex plate consisting of tacos, burritos, enchiladas plus tostado campechana which was octopus & shrimp. It was Cinco de Milo Day so a got a huge blue margarita for only $5. It was my first ever margarita. Needless to say, Rosie had to drive the truck back to the campsite. We promptly hit the swimming pool and hot whirlpool.
