This short .5 mile spur off of the Ann & Roy Butler Bike Trail, had very thick trees and was a conservation area for bats. Talking with several locals, they said in the evening, if you walked or biked that section of the trail, hundreds of bats would swoop down or fly by going off to feed on insects. We saw an area directly across the Colorado River that was also designed as a bat habitat. This was very innovative to be located in a major downtown area.
