The Airport Loop Trail led us to the Summit Trail. This trail was a quarter mile straight up to a large rock overlooking the canyon and the national forest. The rock was mostly flat, and we sat and enjoyed the panoramic view and the refreshing breeze. Several teenagers were sitting at the rock’s edge or climbing down dangerous rock ledges. This was scaring Rosie (just like watching dumb people standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon and accidentally falling off) so after a few minutes we hiked back down.
