Our Navaho guide Josh of Adventurous Antelope Canyon Tours drove us through the desert to our first slot canyon. Exiting the van, it was a flat entrance into the slot canyon. This canyon was wider and more open than the other slot canyons. The sun created beautiful red sandstone colors on the canyon walls. Why was it named Owl Canyon? Josh showed us a couple of owl nests. I also saw some lizards on the rocks. The second lizard was more spotted.
