Biking Team: Dave Miller, Rosie Miller
Date: August 24, 2024
It was 88 degrees as we biked a little over ten miles for the first time ever on the eastern portion of the trail. The trail dead ended in the woods in Centerville. The last two miles was tree covered and shady. A quick stop at Iron Horse Park revealed a piece of playground equipment shaped like a train that had two cabooses which were little free libraries. Doors opened and many books were inside. Very creative. As we biked north the trail eventually became a combination of city streets and sidewalks as it wound through Kettering residential areas. It connects with the northern part that we biked on before just south of Eastwood Park.
