We finally completed the last of the hiking trails at Germantown Metroparks. The 9.2 Mile Orange Trail wraps around the perimeter of the park with many spur trails branching from it. Today we did a 6.1-mile hike on the Orange and Brown Trails but 1 mile of the trail on the extreme west side was a new section of the Orange Trail that we have never done before. This new section was all open prairie land with tall grass and wildflowers. We saw a squirrel and one female white tail deer along the trail.
