This half mile trail took us to an overlook of Ho’okipa Beach and H-Poko Point. On the beach we could see a dozen large Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles nesting. The ocean waves here were mammoth, and we watched surfers for half an hour battling these monster waves. Down below the trail, I saw at least two surfing theme graves/memorials with crosses obviously in memory of surfers who either died here surfing or died of natural causes.
